Are you ready for what's next?

Have you been thinking about what I said last time?  Did it pique your interest?  I hope so, because I think it's important for everyone to know how it all works.​

I will tell you right now, as I moved further along the path I was on and started hearing more about the everything is energy thing, it took me a little time to wrap my head around the fact that if I was looking at a car, I only saw it as a car when in reality, it was energy.  Huh, say that again, a car is really not a car it’s matter that vibrates at the same frequency, clumps together in one big mass and ends up looking like a car…….okay…..let me think about that a little while.  You know what I mean, it took me a little while for me to get it.

Once I got it, I really got it and then went on to have a much better understand of “everything is energy.”  If you’re not there, yet, I suggest you do like I did and read more about it or ponder or pray or whatever it is you do to figure something out so that you can accept it as truth.  Because you know, of course, that it’s true whether we choose to believe it or not, so I figured why not.

That helped me tremendously when I trained to be a PSYCH-K facilitator.  That’s really when it all came together for me.  I may explain more about PSYCH-K later.  That is the only method I used in my business for the first three years.  Then I was introduced to the method I use now called The Body Code.

This would be a great place to stop for just a minute.  I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you who are reading my blog and sharing it with others.  My heart’s desire is for everyone to walk away with a little more understanding of how the whole energy thing works.  If you haven’t learned one new thing, then I haven’t done a very good job.

Okay, so I’m thinking some of you that are listening are skeptics, oh go ahead and admit it you’re a skeptic, right?  You’re thinking, how can she help with my health challenges, she’s not a doctor?
I think that’s a really great question and this is the perfect time to answer it.  The beauty of energy healing or energy work, and I’m sure some of you know that those are other names for holistic healing, is you don’t have to be a doctor to learn and then use these methods. In all honesty, anyone can learn if they have the desire and I’m sure you’ve already figured it out, I definitely have the desire.

As Albert Einstein so aptly put it, "It is better to believe than to disbelieve; in so doing you bring everything to the realm of possibility." I always try to keep an open mind.  Does that mean I believe everything I read or hear, not at all, but I do learn about some really cool things because I’m open to learning.  To quote one of my favorite people of all times, Dr. Wayne Dyer, “The highest form of ignorance is when you reject something you don't know anything about.”

I’ve had clients that got immediate results when I worked with them, and that’s really exciting, not only for them, but for me, too.  It proves to me over and over again, that these methods really do work.  I had one client that had a knot on her shoulder blade that would not go away, even with massage.  During our first session together, the knot was 80% gone and she could lift her arm straight up over her head without pain, which she had not been able to do for a long time.  She was surprised and stunned, to put it mildly.

One of the things that makes me stand out or different, is as a Holistic Health Practitioner,  my goal for each client is to get to the point in their health, that they don’t need to come to me or go to anyone else, except maybe on rare occasions.  I’m an example of my own beliefs, I’m soon to be 73 years young, I only take two prescription drugs and very rarely go see a doctor.  I do the work for myself and any family member or friends who ask me for help.

I want all of you to know that I take no credit for what happens during a session with a client.  I’m simply the conduit for a higher power that I call God and I give Him all the credit.  He’s the Master Healer, I’m the apprentice.

Before I tell you about the work I do, I think we need to talk a little more about energy.  I know we already established the fact that everything is energy, right?  Some of you might not be there, yet, just like I was in the beginning, but you’ll get there soon enough.  The reason it’s really important that you understand it is because of what we’re going to be talking about next.  Some of you may have been asking yourself the question, “Okay, so what does all of that have to do with my health?”  That’s a great question and I’m glad you asked because that means you’re interested and want to learn more.

This is where we come to a crossroads with conventional medicine going to the left and natural health going to the right, get it RIGHT!  Keeping in mind that everything is energy, that means that literally, every thing is energy.  Everything that you see, feel, touch, taste, smell…...it's all energy.  Are there times when you feel a little lighter or maybe you feel a little tingle in your body.   Guess what, that's energy, that’s what I’m talkin’ about.

I promise you, this is not foo foo stuff, no matter what some people may think.  Science now confirms what some have known for many years, every atom, molecule, particle, and subatomic particle are literally energy patterns of vibration. And we interact with this energy every moment of every day our entire life!   Are ya feelin’ it???

There are many miracles that are happening all the time, but you aren't aware of most of them. Here's some perspective.... Your brain is processing 400 trillion bits of information every second. It sifts out all but 2000 of them. Do you think there's a lot more going on here than you initially thought? You bet there is!
 
I’m going to explain a little bit about the method I use to help my clients.  It is called The Body Code system.  It was developed by Dr. Bradley Nelson, who is a holistic chiropractic physician.  He’s been a chiropractor for 30 plus years.  According to Dr. Nelson, The Body Code system is the most sophisticated and complete method of body balancing that has ever been devised - anything that is wrong in the body is able to be identified and corrected.  Wow – that’s amazing don’t you think.  When I first read about this program, I didn’t hesitate one bit.  I said that’s the program I want to use, so I bought the program, learned it and use it today to help all of my clients.

I started to say use it in my practice.  Then I remembered something my husband said not too long ago.  He said that’s what doctors call their business, a practice because that’s what they’re doing, they’re practicing.  I don’t know about you, but I decided a long time ago I didn’t want them practicing on me.  Okay, that’s it, it’s out of my system, well at least for now.

Seriously, I’m not going to say too much about conventional medicine.  I plan on giving you some facts on the subject in another blog that I think would interest you, but that’ll pretty much be it.  Please don’t misunderstand, I believe it has its place, I simply do everything in my power to not to be in that place.
Okay, now we’re going to get into the juicy part, the part I really like to talk about.  I know, I know, you think I just like to talk – well, my husband would probably agree with you, but we’re not going to go there. As I was saying, The Body Code system deals with balancing the body in all aspects of health - energies, nutritional, structural, circuitry, pathogens and toxicity. Not to repeat myself, but this technique is not meant to replace any medical treatment, but by correcting any underlying imbalances, we help the body's innate self-healing ability to take over so that the body can begin to heal itself, which is what God designed and intended for it to do in the first place.  As a result, pain and malfunction in the body often disappear, all the organs function as they should, nutrients are absorbed properly, energy levels are raised, and emotional issues become manageable or nonexistent.  It’s the last part that I’m going to talk about now, emotional issues.

Throughout our lifetime, emotions (remember, everything is energy), get trapped in various parts of our bodies, causing illness, pain, disease, and other similar anomalies.   As we release that stagnant energy, because that’s what it is, it’s not going anywhere, so it’s considered stagnant, right?  It’s just like pond scum, it doesn’t move or go anywhere, so it gets really nasty.  Are you with me here?  Dr. Nelson’s description goes something like this.  Each trapped emotion is like a ball (of energy) ranging in size from a small orange to a grapefruit. By the way, for clarification purposes, we’re taking about negative emotions, not positive ones.  Each emotion vibrates at a certain frequency, as does each organ and guess what, it attracts the emotion and like a magnet, like attracts like, I know you understand what I’m saying, before you know it it’s trapped.  Now imagine this.  According to Dr. Nelson, in his experience and he’s been doing this work for a long time and worked with people all over the world, the average person has upwards of 300 trapped emotions inside of them…..what, are you kidding me!!!!  I wish I was, I really do.  Okay, I’ll let you think about that for a little while. 

We’re going to go back just for a minute and revisit the energy thing.  People that are in excellent health, their Chi. Remember earlier when we were talking about how the Chinese refer to energy as Chi, C h I, sometimes spelled Q I and the Indian and Hindu yogis call it Prana, some call it vital life force, Western science defines it as biorhythms, you get the picture.  It’s called by different names, but it’s all the same.  It’s kinda like I don’t care what you call me, as long as you call me.  Anyway, their Chi is probably running pretty smoothly throughout their body, which is what it’s supposed to be doing in a healthy person.  When it’s not running smoothly, that’s when the trouble can start.  We'll do a little exercise next time to help you feel what this is like.

I think that about wraps it up for now.  Have I given you enough to think about, have you learned anything new that you didn’t know before?  I sincerely hope so.  We will get into more of the juicy stuff later.

Let's Start at the Beginning

Welcome everyone to The Holistic Way.  This blog is all about helping you to better understand how holistic health is your best choice for living a happier, healthier life.

As you can see, I've dabbled in blogging for a long time. I decide it was time to get serious about it because I truly want you to understand just how important and life changing holistic methods can be.  My goal is to help you better understand how holistic healing works and why it is so important for your overall health.

Now that I’ve got that out of the way, let’s move on. This blog is about helping to educate you so that you can make an informed decision about which path to take, traditional or some call it western medicine or holistic or natural health.  I’m going to provide you with as much information as I can, without overwhelming you, in order to start this process.  

I looked up the definition of medicine and found this description:  The science or practice of the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.  I’ll let you decide if you think that is really what traditional medicine does.  I’ll go along with the first two, but I personally don’t think they’re into prevention, but that’s just my opinion.

I also looked for the definition of holistic health and found what I thought was spot on:  The definition of holistic health is simple and inclusive. It is your overall state of wellness on all levels of your being: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. It covers the health of your entire being and extends to your relationships, resources and environment.

Although we've become accustomed to examining and treating each of these areas separately, holistic health or wellness implies the health of the whole. In reality, your body, mind and spirit are completely intertwined and cannot be separated. They are aspects of the whole, not separate entities. To affect one level, either positively or negatively, influences your entire being.

Once people truly grasp the importance of the mind-body-spirit-relationship, and address well-being on all levels, the more likely we are to see remarkable healing occur.

Before I go any further, I thought I’d tell you a little bit about myself and why I made the decision to get into this type of work.  I really don’t like to call it work, because I’m very passionate about what I do and don’t really consider it work, I consider it a pleasure to help people get healthier using holistic methods.
As a child growing up I remember my Mother, bless her heart, who is no longer alive, was always going to the doctor.  It seemed like if she didn’t have something wrong, she’d find something.  I don’t know if I’d describe her as a hypochondriac, but she was probably pretty close.  Even though I didn’t realize it until I got older, my Mother suffered from deep depression and actually had two shock therapy treatments.  You realize of course that when I think of that now, I simply shudder from the thought of it.  I am very grateful and thankful because even though she suffered, and that makes me sad, it helped me to be who I am today.

I’ll just mention it briefly, I have many clients that come to me for help that are suffering from depression and are able to get some relief fairly quickly. I’ll talk more about that at a later date.

Anyway, on with my short story.  I made a decision fairly early on, that if I had anything to do about it, I was not going to live a life of taking prescription drugs and going to doctors and to this day, I don't.  I thought about becoming a nurse, many years ago, but it just didn’t work out for me.  Maybe because this is really what the Lord had in mind for me and I just didn’t know it at the time.  I started on a path of self-improvement and have been on that path ever since.  I guess we’re talking at least 30+ years. 13+ years ago, I was introduced to a method of holistic healing called PSYCH-K, which stands for psychological kinesiology and that changed my life forever.  I took the training to be a practitioner and during that training, I discovered that this was to be my calling, or at least one of them and the rest is what they say is  ……. history.

My reason for writing a blog is to help as many people as I can, understand exactly how holistic healing works, so I think the best place to start is at the beginning.  The bible says that God created heaven and earth.  How did He create it… out of matter.  I think Albert Einstein's famous equation E=mc2 proved that everything in the universe is energy. The physical existence of our reality and the abstract reality of our mind are made from an energy pattern. The concept of a universal energy is not a new one. Chinese people call this energy chi and the ancient Hindus called it prana. Two of the arts that come out of those cultures - t'ai chi and yoga, are based on the art of tapping into the flow of energy and using it to balance one’s self. When we are balanced we feel harmony not only in our bodies, but in our whole lives, which includes our relationships, and our entire environment. Any energy balancing process is actually the act of balancing ourselves with the great universal flow of energy. Absolutely everything that you see, hear, touch, know and don’t know is energy. Atoms vibrate at different frequencies and form matter. In our physical world the only thing that separates a piano from a rock is the rate at which they vibrate. Even non-physical matter such as memories, thoughts and feelings are forms of energy with their own frequency and magnetic signature.  Before I go on, I suggest you go to my archives and read my post in August, 2017.

Everything is Energy!

I hope you are enjoying your summer.  We finally got a little bit of relief from the almost 100 degree temperatures here in Houston this week.  Not sure how long that will last, but I'm grateful for the respite from the intense heat and humidity.

I know it's been a long time since my last post, again.  I keep saying I'm going to get better, so let's hope this time it's true!  Only time will tell.

Do you have a "story" you need to stop telling?

It's been way too long since I wrote anything on my blog.  So today's the day.  When working with clients, the one thing that I see that can hinder their getting better is the fact that they hang on to what I call their "story" or in some cases, their "stories" because they may have more than one.  Do you know what I mean?  I'll give you an example.  Fred's story (the name has been changed to protect the innocent) is:  I don't have a good memory.  I haven't had a good memory and haven't been able to remember things since I was a teenager.

Well guess what, if he keeps telling his "story" over and over again, he's never going to have a good memory.  I remember my Mother's story was "I don't do well in the morning" and guess what, my Mother didn't do well in the mornings. My sister-in-law's mother gave her some advice one time.  I wouldn't say it was good advice, but advice none-the-less.  Her advice was just don't get up early, stay in bed until noon.  Ha, Ha, Ha.  Although she meant well, it is definitely not the advice I give my clients.

My advice is you've got to "let go" of your story if you're going to get better.  Well, maybe letting go is not exactly what you have to do, you really have to change your "story."  I totally changed my "story" which was about remembering things.  Now my "story" when something doesn't come to mind right away is, I'll remember it in a little bit.  Or sometimes I say "I remember everything."  Does that mean I remember everything, no it doesn't.  But I can tell you this much, I remember a whole lot more than I used to and it's getting better all the time.

My question to you, do you have a "story" you need to let go of or change?  I challenge all of you to change it right now, do not wait a minute longer.  I promise you, you will see a difference and it will change your life.

How familiar are you with depression as far as children and teens are concerned?  I know I wasn't until I started checking into it.  According to the statistics I read, 1 out of every 33 children and 1 out of every 8 teenager suffer some form of depression.  There are approximately 14.8 million adults in America suffering from depression in any given year.  I don't know about you, but that was a wake up call for me.  I had no idea that many children and teenagers were suffering, so that's why I've decided to do what I can to help as many of them as I can.   However, therein lies a really big challenge.  How do you find that 1 in every 33 child or 1 in every 8 teenager?  They may not even be aware of it themselves and the parents may not recognize it either.  That's where I come in, I'm going to do my best to, first of all educate as many people as I can about the signs and then explain how the work I do can help them so they don't have to take medication or sit week after week with a therapist, psychologist or whatever not caring, not wanting to, or even not knowing what to talk about.  Gotta go for now, more later...............
