I sent out an email yesterday to all of my clients and potential clients with a very special offer. Because it's so hot here in Houston, I don't want to leave the comfort of my home so the offer is for telephone sessions.
Here's the offer: $25.00 for a 25 minute session I will be using The Body Code, which is the work that I do. If you're interested in getting healthier using alternative methods, this is your perfect opportunity to get started. You can read what my satisfied clients have to say and then check it out for yourself. Please go to my website, www.theholisticway.net and read all about it and then call, email or fill out the contact form to set up an appointment. This offer is only good until the end of June, so don't wait or you'll miss out. Something that has been weighing on my mind for awhile now is the process of "letting go." While I was talking with one of my best friends one day not to long ago, I was saying how I wanted to accomplish so and so. I won't mention it here because it doesn't really matter. She told me I was trying too hard and that it wasn't my fault that I had not been able to accomplish it so far. That lead to quite a discussion, because, between you and me, sometimes it takes me a little while to "get it", if you know what I mean. Why isn't it my fault, it's my goal, right? I should be doing absolutely everything I can to make it happen. Oops, there's that word, "make." By George I think I've got it! What she was telling me is that I can't "make" it happen, or anything as far as that goes.
The way I understand it, the simple answer is to state what your desired outcome or goal is, either in the form of prayer or meditation, or whatever you use for that purpose. I, myself use prayer (not that that matters to anyone but me). So, I pray about what I want, and then let it go, trusting that Heavenly Father will do his part and see that it happens. I'm going to put a little caviat here, and say, if it's in my highest and best interest. I know some of you are thinking why would we ask for something that is not in our highest and best interest. That's a good question, but, again in my opinion, sometimes we don't always ask for something that is good for us. I can't even give you an example, I just know it happens. In the meantime, I can't just sit back and wait for it to happen, I have to do my part, whatever that might be. The part that I haven't been doing so swell at is listening to what that little voice inside me is telling me to do. Some people call it intuition others call it something else, I call it the Spirit and then taking action. I'm going to leave it at that for now and pick it up here next time. In the meantime, my challenge to you (and myself) is to start writing down what that "little voice" is telling me and act on it. Have a wonderful week and please be sure and visit my website: www.theholisticway.net. As you can see, it's been quite awhile since I've written anything. I'm going to do my best to post at least once a week, maybe more if I'm really good.
Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving, was a day of great joy and of deep sorrow for me. Talk about polar opposites, wow! To start the day off, our 3rd granddaughter, Carlee Jo was born. I got to see her when she was about an hour old. Her Mom, Laura Jo, had a c-section, so only the Dad (Jason) was allowed in the OR with her. What a joy it was to see (and later get to hold) that brand new, beautiful baby girl. Both Mom and baby are doing very well. I left to go home after spending most of the morning and early part of the afternoon with family and friends that were gathered because of Miss Carlee's arrival and do something that was extremely difficult for me, but necessary. I had to take my beloved cat "Smokey", who was about 15+ years old, to the veterinarian to be put to sleep. We had him since he was a kitten and he had always been in great health until a few weeks ago. He went through a slump and I thought was coming out of it, but I'm now convinced he only got better for a little while to help me feel better and to prepare myself for what was to come. I realized the day before I took him that he was suffering and that is absolutely not what I wanted for my dear friend of so many years, so I did what was best for him. I know he is in a much better place, running and playing with our other pets, Rambo (d-o-g), Michael (cat) and Sara (d-o-g) and having the time of his life, completely whole and happy and that's what's most important. As the cycle of life goes, birth and death, I experienced it all in one day and what a day it was. It's way past time to post again, so here I am. My last post was about being careful what you talk about or think about so that you don't bring it about. This one is similar but a little bit different. This one has to do with labeling oneself or how we identify with ourselves. In other words, you are (whatever your first name is). You are not ADHD, or poor, or stupid. I think you get the point. I find that many people stop themselves because they identify with what they have or what they're struggling with or where they came from, rather than who they really are. Maybe if I give you an example, it will make more sense. This happened to someone very close to us that was in a situation that they were not used to. Instead of digging in and working thru it, they chose to use the I can't do this because I have......... You can fill in the blanks with anything you want. The way I look at things, well most of the time because I'm as guilty of doing what I'm talking about as you are, I am Ginny Vasquez and I can do anything I set my mind to do. I truly believe that everyone, not just a chosen few, can do absolutely that, anything they make up their minds to do. I work on myself all of the time with this and that's what I can help you with. I can help you change your limiting beliefs to empowering beliefs thru the use of PSYCH-K or The Emotion Code. Read more about it on my website: www.theholisticway.net.
Remember I told you I would write more about our thoughts. What we don't realize is exactly how our thoughts affect us physically. Say for instance you have, or have had something serious wrong with you, chronic pain, cancer, fibromyalgia. You get the picture. Okay, now you're talking with one of your friends and you're telling your friend how tired you are, or how much you're hurting, or how you once had a major medical issue, whatever it might have been, the name doesn't really matter, the point is you're discussing it with your friend now. Okay, now multiply that by how many similar conversations you have over the course of, we'll say a month. 5, 10, 15, I don't know, Do you see where I'm going with this? Remember in my last post, I made the statement what you "think about comes about" or "as a man thinketh."
Someone said to me, I'm just stating the facts. I agree with that, but you are stating them over and over and over again. Your subconscious does not know the difference between what has been in the past and what will be in the future. Your subconscious deals in the now . When you say "I used to have ................., you fill in the blank, all your subconscious hears is I have ......... If you say it often enough, guess what the outcome is? I'm as guilty of this as you are, so I'm working on myself all of the time. Sometimes I don't even realize what kind of damage I'm doing to me. It takes lots of practice to change what we've been thinking and subsequently doing to ourselves and it all starts with awareness. I can help you get started. All you have to do is ask me and I'll be glad to show you some ways to do it. Have a great day and call me if you would like my help. I've been avoiding starting a blog because it's hard for me to just write. I have to write, then read it, then write some more, then read it, etc., etc., etc., you get the idea. So it turns into a chore rather than a pleasant kind of a thing. However, it occurred to me when we were on our way to San Antonio (actually Marion, but I'm sure no one knows where Marion is) last Saturday to spend Mother's Day with my wonderful mother-in-law, yes, you heard that right, wonderful. I know a lot of people that don't get along with their in-laws, but I have the best. Anyway, as I was saying, it occurred to me that just maybe I'll try my hand at it because one of my passions is to help people understand that there are alternative methods for healing ourselves mentally, physically and spiritually. That we don't have to always turn to doctors and prescription drugs to feel better. Actually, if we use alternative methods, we might not have to turn to doctors at all, wouldn't that be "mahvelous dahling!" Do you remember who said that? That's another idea, maybe I'll add a game, or puzzle to my blog to make it more interesting. I'll save that for another time.
Anyway, as I was saying, we were taking this trip last weekend, I was driving (which means I was paying attention) and I realized that from our house (close to 290 and 1960) and I-10 and Katy, we drove past at least four hospitals and I'm sure there are more, we just didn't see them. Two are in the process of being built and the other two are not that old. I don't know about you, but that makes me think that there are a whole lot of sick people out there and that makes me really sad. Have you read the statistics that the USA is the sickest nation in the world - that should make everyone sad. So I ask, what in the world are we going to do about it? Well I for one, am going to do my best to help educate you about the alternatives and then I'm going to help those that would like my help, because that's what I do. I'm a holistic health practitioner and my passion is to help people get well through the use of alternative methods. |
